 I agree with this opinion. Actually, there are many TV programs which feature famous people private life and magazines always show celebrity's gossip. Here are some specific reasons to support my opinion.

 First is regarding TV programs. About 3 month ago, one of the most famous celebrities called Noriko Sakai was arrested by abusing drag and it really raised people's eyebrows. When the press conference for her apologizing was held, most of TV programs featured it even though there are many important news to broadcast in the world.

 Second is regarding magazines. I sometimes go to convenience stores to find good magazine to catch up the times but I always can't find useful magazines for me because most of magazines feature only celebrity's or politician's gossips.

 Of course, media should provide attractive things to people to sell but media should play a role of enlightening people to create better society.

　Now, we are exposed to really many information that is not able to handle for us. In addition to that, it has many distorted information by commercialism. So we should find good information source to know important things rather than getting famous people gossips. And it would be really helpful to create better society.

 Second is regarding magazines. I sometimes go to convenience stores to find a good magazine to catch up with news but I always can't find useful magazines for me because most of magazines only feature celebrities or politicians gossips.

 Of course, media should provide interesting things and topics for them to earn money but media should also play a role in enlightening the people through what they write in the magazines or what they show on television to create a better society.

 Now, we are exposed to a lot of information that we are not able to deal with. In addition to that, commercialism caused distorted a lot of information. So we should find good information source to know
important things rather than getting famous people's gossips. And it
would be really helpful to create better society.
